As per Notification No. LSGD/PD/24269/2024-EER1 dated 06.09.2024, published in Extraordinary Gazette No. 2888 dated 07.09.2024 by the Director (Rural), Local Self Government Department, the number of seats to be filled through direct election in Tanur Block Panchayat of Malappuram District has been fixed at 17.
Accordingly, draft proposals for dividing the Block Panchayat into 17 constituencies and fixing their boundaries were published as per Notification No. SDC/169/2025/SDC4 dated 30.05.2025. Time was granted until 10.06.2025 to submit objections and suggestions. The received objections and opinions were duly investigated, the complainants were heard in person, and decisions were taken upon consideration of the same.
Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 10 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, the Delimitation Commission, Kerala hereby issues the final order dividing Tanur Block Panchayat into 17 constituencies and determining their boundaries as shown in the schedule attached herewith.
